HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
Hendo. My last name is Henderson and one of my football coaches couldn’t pronounce it for some reason so they started calling me Hendo. Ironically that was my Uncle’s nickname before he passed so the family adopted the name to pay homage to all of our loved ones who have passed away in our time.
HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
Hendo. When I was 16 I was really good at football and also starting to realize my talent for music. I could never decide between the two until I broke my wrist playing football and decided to go all-in with music and discovered how much I love the complexities in the process of making music.
HCM. To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Hendo. There are many influences to name, I love the range of music coming from our culture of hip hop. I pride myself on being able to produce every facet or genre of hip hop. I’ve given myself homework on all types of artists from the ’80s and keeping up with today’s music as well.
HCM. On your current album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?

HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Hendo. believe the hardest part about being an artist is pushing through fear barriers. Many people quit just before they make it due to self-doubt. I pride myself on my perseverance. I’ve had so many ups and downs up to this point, and I’m sure I’ll have many more to come, but I know I’ll always be ready to adjust and take my next step forward
HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
Hendo. I want people to hear my messages of motivation I send through my music. The majority of the people on our planet are hurt and trying to cope with something in their own way. I want them to be able to escape any hurt they may be experiencing during the 2 or 3 minutes my song may las
HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
Hendo. I have 3 mixtapes in the works as of today. My first mixtape to drop 2020 will be called Limitless 2, it’ll be the continuation of my debut mixtape, Limitless. Limitless is a series I use to showcase my versatility as far as hip hop goes. I also have a quarantine tape I recorded with one of the artists on my label to help people pass the time while on lockdown. And to finish out before my album, I have the departure. It’s an album where I’m more vulnerable with the listener speaking on things like my love life and prior battles with depression.
HCM. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
Hendo. I’d like to thank my family and friends who stuck with me through the times where it seemed like I was going to be another statistic and really helped me get my life back on track. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I love yall.
