On May 16, Soul Marley – the acclaimed multi-faceted recording artist – will release his long-awaited EP, Taurus. The forthcoming 4-track features a unique sound that remains true to the artist’s Nigerian roots while blending together Afrobeat, pop, dancehall, hip-hop, and other genres to create a record that is sure to get audiences up and dancing.
Born in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria, Marley wanted his new EP to embody a sensual, groovy feel linked to his upbringing.
“I have always had a passion for musical instruments since I was a child,” he says. “This has helped me choose passion over perfection, and my new EP embodies that.”
As a follow-up to his hit single Addiction (2019), audiences can also look forward to Soul Marley’s manner of funk on Taurus, complete with strumming patterns from bass guitar, saxophone, bongo, piano, and drums. The EP will be available starting May 16 on major streaming platforms, including iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, and more.
