Rekast – Canada’s Next Underground King

An underground rapper with a real story of hiphop is something hard to find in Canada. One who is influenced by the culture and is an accurate depiction of what it means to be CANADIAN. It is especially rare occasion when the two (hip-hop and Canada) coincide.

MVDHOUSE artist Rekast was born in Manitoba in the spring of 1993 where he spent most of his upbringing until he moved to Toronto in 2004 where he resides until now.
Being in Toronto, his family has relocated several times across the city, experiencing the different sides of city’s hip-hop culture, influencing who he is and how he raps. Growing up the rapper’s major influences were Eminem, Cypress Hill and Kriss Kross, a style of rap that he has adopted into his own.
