Interview With R&B Artist JoRob

Jorob-NoStringsAttachedHCM.  When did you start making music and taking it serious?

JoRob.  I started making music when I was in middle school. Music was the only way I could believe the stress I had as a young kid. I started taking it serious when i got to high school and everyone started to ask me to sing and do shows.

HCM.  Would you prefer to be independent or signed to a major?

JoRob.  I prefer to be an independent artist with the Major push. It’s not easy to be independent because the music industry has been monopolized. I would take a Marketing deal from a Major because it would make things a lot easier. The good thing about being independent is you keep all of your profits but your overhead is a lot more. So I would be an independent artist with a marketing deal in my favor; leaving me with all of my profits.

HCM.  How do you feel about pirating?

JoRob.  I really don’t condone music pirating. A lot of people don’t understand how much money, time, blood sweat and tears it takes to put in to a project. Artists can’t make good music if they don’t have the founding.

HCM.  What is your ultimate goal at the end of your career?

JoRob.  My ultimate goal is to be known and respected by all of the major artists. I want to make timeless records that people will remember for the rest of their like and also help change their life for the better.

HCM.  What are you currently working on and how can the people find you?

JoRob.  I just finished my latest album named No Strings Attached. This is the only album out that you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track. I am currently working on my next album as well as music placements with major licensing companies. I have a number of artists I am working with and creating new songs for my own placement company called Waldron Music Group www.waldronmusicgroup.com. You can find my music on all major download sites such as Itunes & Amazon. You can also find my music on major streaming sites such as spotify and Pandora. You may also go to my website www.jorobismusic.com to get the new album.
