Penny Shaw Releases Gripping Visuals For “Questions”

penny-shawEarlier this year, Penny Shaw and ContraBAND released their collaboration entitled Ill City Blues. “Ill City Blues” is best described as cinema, in music form. It captures Penny’s realism, his aspirations, as well as his vulnerabilities. Those vulnerabilities are especially on display in “Questions“, the project’s intro track, where Penny feels powerless against his biggest opponent; doubt. Backed by eerie – yet head-knocking – production from ContraBAND, Penny navigates his way through the doubt of others as well as from within. Will he free himself of it? That’s the question.

To further promote his latest project, Penny has been making his rounds performing along the east coast. Recently he has opened up for Ras Kass in Boston, and he was also selected to perform at the H Street Music Festival in Washington D.C.
