Jon Harris releases his first song “Big” and it would seem he came out the gate running. Putting his best foot forward he starts off with a song that has so much to take in, from his lyrical abilities to musical composition that screams “anthem music”.
“Big” is an enjoyable track with lots of energy. It starts very simple and builds as the intro progresses. Throughout the song, there is an interesting pattern to the music where there are times the music simple and lower then changes to loud and complex. Along with the music, Jon showcases his lyrical prowess to further distance himself from the “whack artists” he mentions. The overall product, music and lyrics, has a JAY-Z or early J. Cole feel to it. The song, as mentioned by the artist, has a different feel from modern rap music; Jon does a great job of creating a product that does not seem to be copied from popular hits.
“Big” is a great song especially for people and moments that demand a lot of energy. The concept of the song is to make everything big which can be both very inspiring and very energizing. Definitely check out Jon Harris – Big!
