Music Review: Rhealine – Alive EP

RhealineFor 6 years, I lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts, a place where, at least in summer seasons, breathtaking light hits the water, begging for a swim, and glitter lines the streets from drag-queen escapades the night before. To even have as many female rappers in the hip hop game these days is definitely a step in the right direction and when it comes to one of Memphis’ most well known female MCs, the road to recognition and respect is one that is well deserved.

Since her debut album dropped nearly fifteen years ago, Memphis female hip hop artist La Chat has been a constant presence on the local and independent nationwide scene.
