HCM Interviews DJ/Producer 666Doomsayer

HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
666Doomsayer. Doomxsayer used to be my old Xbox live username. It kinda stuck around. There was a metal band using the name Doomsayer, but they are not a band anymore and to prevent confusion I added the 666 and made it all one word. 666Doomsayer.

HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
666Doomsayer. Since I was around 15-16 years old I was always in metal and hardcore bands. I did not have an interest at first pursuing music myself. The gigs kinda just fell in my lap and it was on! As I got older I found myself listening to a TON of hip hop and heavier EDM music. Now I collaborate the two genres.

HCM. On your upcoming album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
666Doomsayer. I don’t have an album expected till 2021. Right now we are just dropping a few tracks here and there. The concepts are all different. All of it is heavy EDM bass music with hip-hop artists featured on each track.

HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
666Doomsayer. I own a digital marketing company that takes up a TON of my time. Sometimes trying to balance the two can be exhausting. You guys should see what my workstation looks like lmao.

HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
666Doomsayer. We had to cancel a tour. So once this pandemic is over with I’ll be hitting, FL, NY, SC, NC, GA, TN, and Ohio.

HCM. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
666Doomsayer. Yes! Shout out to all of the readers here, and to all my listeners for all their support.
