HCM Interviews Samuel Brown aka Miracle

HCM. Where are you from and how did you come by your stage name?
Samuel Brown. I am from Birmingham Alabama. I got the stage name Miracle from God. When Doctors had given up on me having a rare fungus eating away at my sinus cavities and about to push into the blood-brain barrier. Resistant to antibiotics. They had told me I would die in my sleep or on the operating table. But God healed me. So this the name Miracle.

HCM. When did you start making music and taking it seriously?
Samuel Brown. I started making music in 2002. I had tried being an artist in the secular world. After the Miracle, I devoted my gifts to God. I thought my ship had sailed and yet God had a different plan for my life. God put in my heart the song Calibration. Let Jesus take control. If you are tired of being mediocre let God Calibrate you. The song was written in 2018.

HCM. Today’s music seems to be about collaborations with the “hottest” artist out. Who would you want to work with on a project? And why?
Samuel Brown. I would love to work with Taylor Swift on a Christian crossover song. I know wow right. Well, she is talented and her fan base is who God’s music needs to reach. I also would like to collaborate with Donnie McClurkin, Donald Lawrence, and Kirk Franklin.

HCM. Would you prefer to be independent or signed to a major?
Samuel Brown. I would like to be independent with a major mentality and expertise. All the funding and knowledge from a major label with the freedom of an independent artist.

HCM. Any shout outs and how can the people find you?
Samuel Brown. I would like to thank my family for believing in me for life!
