HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
The MG. I have always been into music since I could remember. My family got me listening to all kinds of stuff and eventually picked up the Guitar and kept learning different instruments. I really wanted to make all kinds of music and use it to make up songs as a kid all the time. It just naturally happened.
HCM. On your current single… How did you come up with the concept for the song?
The MG. I wrote this song when I was on tour actually. We were driving to the next show and I had the beat for a long time, started working on it and finished it by the time we got to the next city. But it was just a vibe I was in and when that happens you just need to write.
HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
The MG. As an artist, it is definitely hard to leave loved ones behind when going on tour. Other than that, the whole process, creating music, and putting it out there is the best part. So it keeps me working. I love making music, and often I take on too much always doing 5 projects at once sorta thing.
HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
The MG. I hope people just pick up something positive from it. It might not be music for everyone, but I try to keep my stuff real, and to what I like hearing.
HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
The MG. Definitely releasing more music! The MG and with my band. We have something special in the works. Hopefully going on tour soon when the world opens back up.
HCM. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
The MG. Shout out to Machine Farm and shout out to C-Lance. A dope producer who made the beat for the song. We have been working together for a while, and I have a lot more to come that was also produced by him. Shout out to my bro Luca Mele and his new single ‘All of It’ is coming out June 5th.
Thanks for the interview guys!
