HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
GG. I choose the name “GG “ because basically, it’s a million of us “GGs” out there… I’m just your average “GG” no more no less. Just telling my story.
HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
GG. I discovered my love for music at a young age. Moms raised us in the church. My best guess is that’s where it started. I realized I wanted to pursue it when I got older and realized that I had to channel my hurt and pain into music. It became my biggest outlet on expressing how I feel and venting. It became therapeutic so I fell in love with it.
HCM. On your current album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
GG. The meaning of EAF is really EVERYBODY AINT FAMILY I think everybody can relate to what that means… I dropped it because of my pain on how close ones even family or gang members etc betrayed me and did it when I was at my worse.
HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
GG. My greatest challenge as an artist would be building a Real team and support system. Nowadays if you ain’t got the money or if it ain’t benefiting them ..ya own nigga will turn a blind eye to you.
My greatest attribute would be my consistency of generating new music. Ima machine.
HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
GG. The impression I want to give is “DON IT ON YOUR OWN” (to a certain extent because we all need help) & “DONT NOBODY GAF ABOUT YO FEELINS” it’s every man for they self out here.
HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
GG. What to expect from me next tbh is just hella content basically on me evolving and changing my pain into something positive by making GOOD music as in healthy music…it only gets better from there
