A few days ago HCM got an interview from up and coming rap artist HEYDANNX. Who is HEYDANNX you may ask, he’s a talented young artist who aspires to leave his mark on fans and the music industry. Along with his OTM team, HEYDANNX plans on solidifying his presence as an artist and his labels brand. Check out his interview to find out more.
HEYDANNX Interview
HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
HEYDANNX. Lonerkid helped me pick my name… it came up because we’ve thought Hey Dan’s Next short for HEYDANNX.
HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursuit a career in music?
HEYDANNX. After high school, Lonerkid influenced me to make a song and I kept getting comments and feedback saying that my voice was good so then after that I started to make music. Even till this day I think my voice needs work, but I’m ready to work.
HCM. To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
HEYDANNX. My musical style is a compilation of influences. I will say Lil Baby is a driving influence though.
HCM. On your current/upcoming album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
HEYDANNX. Everything outside of that is brought up and coordinated by my manager.. our concept for the project is always talked about with our manager while we’re on the road or taking a trip to get some things done. So it’s rather more talked out and agreed on then us going through the ideas and taking longer then usual needed💯 Shout out to ALPHA FOR MAKING THOSE THINGS POSSIBLE 💯
HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
HEYDANNX. My greatest challenge is the sound of my own voice… I don’t like how I sound till this day and need major work… but what kept me going was the feedback and the confidence built up… so with my work ethic on 1000%… I made songs and fought through hearing my own voice… I’ve got some things on the way 🤫
HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
HEYDANNX. That HEYDANNX and Out The Mud Music are for real and only going up from here.
HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
HEYDANNX. I have a lot of plans but I’m going with the flow, right now I’ve been in the stu with Lonerkid working on new music and wrapping up his EP “What You Don’t See”. I feel like it’s my EP on the way. I’m telling everyone now to get ready for story you can relate to with Lonerkid EP.
I’m gonna start dropping some music videos and visuals for my fans and everyone can learn more about me and see my music different ways not just hear it.
HCM. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
HEYDANNX. Definitely shout out to my parents, they’ve been very supportive eva sense they realized that I have a real passion for music and not just doing it to look cool. Shout out my bro Lonerkid for inspiring me and showing me there’s nothing to be afraid of.
