Brief Q & A with Newcomer Solo Deed

HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
Solo Deed. I realized being alone made me a stronger person and I take care of myself better than anyone else. I’ve been solo for years, so the name ‘Solo’ kinda stuck with me.

HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursuit a career in music?
Solo Deed. I loved my song the first time I recorded it. At that time, I was 11 when I went to jail for 6 months. After that, I told myself I wanna do something with my life, I wanna be a rapper.

HCM. On your current/upcoming album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
Solo Deed. I haven’t release an album yet, but my new single ‘Fall Asleep Solo’ basically says it all and is to the point.

HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Solo Deed. I’m competing with other rappers and that’s a challenge in itself, but I try to focus on what I can bring to the table as a new artist and make my own way.

HCM. Is there anyone you’d like to thank, any shout outs?
Solo Deed. I’d like to thank God.
