HCM Exclusive with NY Rapper “Fadetheblackk“

The New York rapper is wasting no time this fall releasing hit after hit like a factory at this point. A stellar soul vocal sample meshes into the background of the beat to provide some character to an already well-assembled product. The drums sound crisp as can be and the brass practically jumps out of your headphones with every hit.

Meanwhile, FadeTheBlackk takes on the role of the first verse as he explains how people are willing to “fit this mold just to become a little more successful”. People are in turn filled with “insecurities and shattered dreams” because of the price they paid to reach an idolized and inaccurate version of success the public at large has determined. Love is the only answer in his eyes; the love of one another and the passion you feel towards your work is the only way to overcome this predestined path of destruction.

A truly soothing hook is delivered by James Scott urging the listener that there is “no time to waste” when in search of love, and b*star drives home this point as well with an equally impressive feature verse.

FadeTheBlackk comes fresh off the release of his previous record entitled “Time Flies”, and is set to release yet another track in the coming weeks. If you find the lyrical blend of the emcee pleasing to the ear, feel free to follow him on social media and be sure to keep an ear and eye out for him as the year wears on!

HCM Interview

HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
Fadetheblackk. Fadetheblackk means step away from the dark, I use to be a lost soul in this world living in the dark.

HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
Fadetheblackk. I grew up in a family of musicians, Music has always been my outlet and my way to relate my feelings.

HCM. To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
Fadetheblackk. I used to perform poetry in the past.

HCM. On your current/upcoming album… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
Fadetheblackk. I worked on this record with James Scott and my frequent collaborator b*star. “Successful” is a track with a soothing soul sample backbone and some crisp drums that give off this loving feeling we talk about on the track. HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
Fadetheblackk. Just staying creative no matter if it’s for your own project or assisting with another project, I just try to stay as true to myself as possible.

HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
Fadetheblackk. More insight into the world we live in.

I will be touring in 2020…
