A few days ago, HCM got up with rising rap sensation Sway Tsunami for a spotlight interview. The rapper who also goes by the name of G Swayzo gave us a little insight on his rap career and future plans. He also gives us a peek at visuals to his latest single The “Intro”. HCM. How did you come by your stage name?
G Swayzo. My Homeboy Bink use to call me Monswayze lol cause people knew me by Mante but after that, I began to think like what would be a dope stage name? then 1 day it randomly popped up in my head “ Sway Tsunami” G SWAYZO came later down the line from my other homeboy Kidd.
HCM. When did you discover your love for music and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
G Swayzo. I discovered my love for music as far as I can remember. I’ve always been a hip-hip fan. I’m a 90’s Baby so I grew up listening to Big & Pac & soon as I realized I had a gift for it.
HCM. To what or whom do you accredit your sense of style?
G Swayzo. To be honest, me, because I’m original I don’t try to copy other people or do what they do.
HCM. On your current release… How did you come up with the concept for this project?
G Swayzo. From what I see around me. My reality, who I was, and what it meant to me.
HCM. What are some of your greatest challenges as an artist, and what is your greatest attribute when it comes to your work ethic?
G Swayzo. I would say getting my music out there/getting heard & my greatest attribute is my hustle! The, “I got to get it mentality”!
HCM. What impression would you like listeners to be left with after hearing your music?
G Swayzo. They want more! They want to hear more they want to know more about who I am and where I’m from (1522)
HCM. What are your plans for the near future?
G Swayzo. Drop more music, more video’s Etc.Translate to English
