D.Higgs Interview

me-and-ben-maderHCM. Where are you from?
D.Higgs. I was born in Tampa Bay, FL but grew up in Paradise Valley, AZ for 7 years. I then moved to CT when I was 13 and was there for about 7 years as well. I just recently moved to Greenville, SC and I now go to Clemson University but I used to go to Merrimack College which is up by Boston so most of the artists I’ve worked with are from Boston.

HCM. Who influenced you to become an artist? And why?
D.Higgs. I was really influenced by Chris Brown because of the work ethic and skill he possesses. He might be the hardest working artist in the industry. I don’t even know if I can just call him an artist because he also produces, dances, directs his own videos, raps, and acts. He has also been producing hits for about 11 years now and is only 27 years old. He also showed that he can come back from a devastating downfall and still be one of the hottest artist on the planet. The man is a legend in the music industry.

HCM. Do you feel that you are an artist or entertainer? Explain.
D.Higgs. I am mostly a producer and my influences are Metro Boomin, TM88, Mike Will Made it, Sonny Digital, Murda Beatz, and more.

It is available everywhere and people can listen to it for free on my soundcloud here https://soundcloud.com/user-463119163 . My instagram is danhiggins96, my go by the name D.Higgs because my name is Dan Higgins. I am also working on a few new singles so I can start releasing songs every week for a certain period of time.

HCM. When did you start making music and taking it serious?
D.Higgs. I only just recently started making music about 8 or 9 months ago and have already accomplished many things and have had great success. Its crazy to see where I’m at today and didn’t even have a song out a year ago.
