Q. Where are you from?
A. Germany
Q. How did you come by your stage name?
A. Errrm CK Morgan, I’m watching this hollywood movie can’t really remember the title but they had one of the characters could something something Morgan and I was like, that’s dope. So I’mma start calling my self CK Morgan, but the truth is my real name is Morgan.
Q. When did you start making music and taking it serious?
A. At the age of 14. I used to be part of youth meetings every Friday at church in London (Life Chapel) and the girls that were sitting next behind me kept telling the teacher that I can sing. So the teacher asked me to sing and I was very shy at first, but after I hit that note, everyone started screaming and shouting.
Q. How do you feel about the present state of the music industry?
A. I feel it could be better… I really miss the old R&B music and the old hip hop music.
Q. Who influenced you to become an artist?
A. What inspires it is just the desire to make something special and being inspired by special music that I heard before. People like Marvin Gaye, Jeff Buckley, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simmone; I mean people that I have looked up to for years. They inspire me because they let me know what greatness sounds like and I’m inspired by to that anytime I am making a record.
